Looking for allies? With the Loopings map, companies and individuals can find the shortest route to organisations, offers, and service providers in the field of professional development 45+ (people over 45). Link: https://loopings.ch/landkarte/
The Neustarter-Stiftung (New Starters Foundation) was established under the name Tertianum-Foundation by René Künzli and Prof. Helmut Bachmaier. From its inception until its reorganisation and renaming in 2016, it was dedicated to age and generational issues.
Since 2016, the Neustarter Foundation has focussed exclusively on the topic of intergenerational cooperation in the working world of the present and the future, as well as on career opportunities and changes at the ages of 45+. In 2021, the idea of a competence centre for work 45+ in Switzerland was born. The Loopings platform was created with the support of partner organisations..
Services of Loopings by Neustarter-Stiftung:
- Strategy consulting in the field of ‘generation management’ in companies
- Position assessments and further training for older employees
- New formats for professional inspiration and development for people in the second half of life and in the years before retirement
- Regular get-togethers for people aged 45+ in phases of career change
- Presentations and talks on thematically appropriate events
- Articles and interviews on the topic of ‘Work 45+’ and generational issues
Life is still often divided into three phases: Education, work and retirement. This is why some people believe that they are too old to try something new at the age of 50. In addition, there is a marked decline in further training programmes in companies for employees aged 40 and over. The prevailing images of age are often no longer up to date and need to be rethought.
With the Loopings platform, the foundation inspires companies to implement forward-looking working, learning and career models for older employees, and supports people in actively and creatively shaping their professional future.
Project: Resource support for career change
It is often very difficult for long-term unemployed or retired people between the ages of 45 and 64 to re-enter the labour market. There may be no jobs available in their previous field of work, and at the same time, they lack the financial means, and perhaps also the courage to retrain for a career change. On the other hand, various industries and companies are struggling with a shortage of skilled labour. With the project ‘Resource support for career change’, Loopings aims to support participants in the programme for a lateral entry or a professional re-entry.
The project is based on the three modules “to the INSIDE”, “to the OUTSIDE” and “to the FRONT”. People are supported in (re)building lost and missing capabilities. By participating in these modules, the aim is to rebuild or further develop labour market skills and strengthen self-confidence through innovative informal learning formats. In this way, Loopings creates a solid starting position and a good foundation to pave the way for lateral entry and the leap into a new profession.
